Information on Okehampton has now been updated.
The weekend at
Okehampton, based at an Army Camp on the Northern edge of Dartmoor, is designed
to introduce Cadets, & Staff, to more challenging terrain than is available
within Dorset or Wiltshire. It runs from Friday evening to Sunday Afternoon and
provides the opportunity to experience a full day on the moor and plus an
additional morning. Its' aim is to supplement the basic Cadet training provided
on squadrons. We provide a graduated training scheme to allow Cadets to reach a
stage where they are competent to plan & manage a groups activities, taking
into account the differing conditions that may be encountered.
The training is in 4
stages "OKE1" to "OKE4" with the logbook being endorsed upon
satisfactory completion of the stage.
